Teodora Pica was born in Romania, where she was introduced to art.  Her father taught her the basic techniques of painting, as he had learned from her grandfather.  Both men are well known mural artists.  Her landscapes are inspired by the infinite vistas of her homeland.

The technique of preparing and executing a mural was a lesson that has stayed with Teodora throughout the development of her personal style.  She works in successive layers, much like the mural artist.  It is the richness of obscure colors and transparency that transports the audience through her landscapes.
