Niso Maman

Niso Maman's signature torsos made from nails, coins, and other media encompassing steel and metal  have made him internationally renowned as one of the leaders in contemporary sculpture.  These figures embody both the elegance and beauty of the classical period and the excitement and spirit of contemporary art.  Niso's work speaks of understated motion and grace.

As a young artist, Niso began his personal odyssey of study and travel. From Italy to Paris and finally to Holland, Niso experimented with new methods of expression in ceramic and mosaic art. Eventually, Niso came to the United States to further his studies and broaden his style to mesh the influences of the middle East with Europe and America.
