The face exhibits the concealed signature of the soul. This is what inspires young artist Laurence Nerbonne to create canvases that explore humanity. Nerbonne, 25 years old, already distinguishes herself with her vibrant and bold brushwork that displays a maturity far beyond her age.
This self-taught painter has always been inspired by the human face, the principle subject of her work. Nerbonne grew up in a family immersed in art and culture and discovered the power of painting through the art exhibitions that she frequented as a child. She has painted since the age of 16, with a brief respite to pursue college-level studies in communications. When she was 18, her work was first exhibited. Nerbonne paints in acrylic, with human emotion as her central theme.
