Clara Duque is an Internationally known artist, having participated in Solo and Group exhibitions in Europe, the United States and South America. Her sculptures combine colors, and their variations, to produce succulent and suggestive fruits that lure the viewer to savor the contours of femininity.
The bronze sculptures created by the lost wax process: over a clay figure rubber molds are made, hot wax is poured into them, the wax figure is dipped in plaster to create a kell, by heating it in an oven the wax is lost and the melted bronze is poured in the kell. Acid- and chemical based color patinas provide the finished colors and the smooth luster.
