ANIOCLES GRÉGOIRE
Sculptor,
foundry specialist, painter and designer, Aniocles Grégoire has
produced several important works of art that have been prominently
exhibited in galleries around the world. Grégoire has worked under
some of the great masters of sculpture in Haiti, conducted research on
Voodoo in Haitian art and studied primitive art in Africa. The artist
accordingly understands the cultural impact that art has on society and
that society, in turn, has on art.
Gregoire has produced several
important monumental art works and various collections. His work has
been on exhibit and sold in numerous galleries around the world. Many of
them are now part of private and public collections, including the
Société des alcools du Québec(SAQ).
The work of Aniocles Grégoire
transcends borders as well as any hint of oppression therein. Each
piece, in fact, raises public consciousness in its very personal
testament to the indomitable human spirit. Such conviction is
infectious, you will find, whether you assume the gestures of Grégoire's
work or simply take them in.
Born in Haiti, currently residing and working in Canada.
He
worked under some of the great masters of sculpture in Haiti and has
conducted research on Voodoo in Haitian art and on primitive African
art. His research has enabled him to deepen his knowledge and served as a
